I. Shanz Professional Portfolio & Blog
I am ILyea Shanz — a Jew of the tribe of Judah, a mother, and an intelligence and security professional. I served nearly four years with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Administration, rising from Transportation Security Officer to Supervisory Transportation Security Officer, and previously served in detention and corrections. I hold an M.S. in Intelligence & Security Studies from Bellevue University (2025, GPA 3.8), a B.A. in Sociology and Criminology from Texas Tech University (2022), and an associate degree from South Plains College. I maintain an active Secret security clearance, and my research focuses on cyber threats, strategic deterrence, threat actor profiling, and open-source intelligence (OSINT).
From my page, you can clearly see that I am into art. I enjoy all forms of art including painting, drawing, ceramics, and occasionally sculpture. I have always loved architecture and used to want to be an architect and some of my work might show that aspect. If you wish to see some of my work, click on my art gallery. Thank you for coming and for your time!
Best Wishes,
ILyea
